Gone too soon!
Keegan Reed was a founding father or Metro Movement. The Movement began as a group of seven car fanatics got together one hot summer afternoon and worked on Keegan’s C6 Corvette coilovers. The sun was blazing, Keegan was terribly sunburned, but he insisted the entire group get together to hang out with their cars. They worked relentlessly that afternoon in the spirit of upgrading and modifying Keegan’s car. Before everyone left, Keegan created a group chat of all the guys who were in attendance. The started “chatting” back and forth about all their cars and what was going on socially. The very next day, Connor termed the group, “Metro Movement.” Everyone loved the name and so Metro Movement began in the hot summer of 2022.
Car enthusiast, Keegan Reed, grew up loving cars, car movies, raceways, speedways, demolition derbies, car shows, monster trucks, fire trucks, police cars, exotic luxury cars, etc. Corvettes were his dream car from the beginning. He had every variety of die cast model of corvettes, however, the C6 model was his favorite. He loved the metallic red color the very best and decided that he would have two, C6 Corvettes. He owned a manual and an automatic. These cars were highlighted in his Tik Tok accounts: KEC6AN, RS3GAN, Keegan.pr, etc.
At 16 years old, Keegan had a Dodge Charger, a Chrysler 300 and an F150. He inherited a Hyundai from his grandmother and sold that later for a down payment on his Dodge Charger. Keegan absolutely loved everything about cars. He encouraged the group to be the next hottest thing in car meets and that Metro Movement was the one and only car club in the state that was the “happening movement!”
Keegan was in a tragic fatal car accident in the afternoon of Sunday, September 25 th , 2022. He was driving his 4-day old Audi RS3. It was a cold and rainy afternoon, when he spun out from exiting a roundabout. He crossed into the oncoming traffic and was hit from behind. This force sent him into the guard rail. He was killed instantly. Keegan suffered a severed aorta and lacerated thoracic spine. Keegan is gone too soon and is deeply missed by all.
He will always serve as the guardian angel of the Metro Movement. He is the inspiration for this club and was insistent on making sure everyone got involved. Keegan will always be remembered as a positive role model and “go getter.” Keegan had a very loving, protective heart and he was also animated and loved his brothers. Until, “We see you again,” just like the song by Wiz Khalifa. We will always cherish our close memories with you “Keeg” until we see you again!
